Confessions of a Young Unhappy Mom

This profile is about a young mom who, after wanting children for so long, is now finding herself in depression and anxiety over having two twins. Her life changed drastically but not for the better as she assumed it would be. No, it actually got much worse as her days went on just her and the twins home alone. With her husband at work, she found herself in a panic every so often not knowing what to do or how to act with her alone with the twins. She started to begin to think that all her life was was just her taking care of the twins. What i found interesting was that she actually decided to go to the grocery store with the twins one day. After reading about how nervous she was to bring them out, i was very surprised to see that she actually did one day. I dont think that this is abnormal though, i think that this is what more parents go through when that have children. in my opinion, the journalist chose to write about this persons life because many people can relate to it. A lot of people dont expect or aren't ready after there first child, or in this case, children.

"The hassle of packing up two babies and all of their necessary things seems overwhelming, not to mention the stress of trying not to attract too much attention from fellow shoppers."

• This sentence to me, describes perfectly, the struggles that she was dealing with in her new life. In my opinion, this is the theme to the whole experience because it says everything that she is scared of in one sentence. What i found interesting was that after saying that she would never do this or it was too much work, she actually built up the courage and faced her fears and took her twins to the store

"I couldnlt wait for this new phase in my life - I was happily married, turning thirty, and about to leave my part-time job training volunteers at a local hospital to stay at home with these two babies I had wanted very much."

• This is a perfect example of how her life took a turn for the worst, in the beginning she couldn't be more thrilled. in my opinion she wasn't thinking of all the responsibilities it takes to raise children. She was just so excited that she could actually have them she didn't stop and think of how her world was going to change. So when it did begin to change she was blind sighted almost.

This profile will definitely be good for young mothers to read about, this way they know they are not alone in the struggle to parenthood. Sometimes you just need that in life, you just want to know your not alone in this bug huge world. I would definitely say this is more modern the whole situation just has a modern touch to it.
